This is better for gaming unless you intend on using the integrated graphics. Which i wouldnt really recommend if you want to play BF1.

The 8700 is 6 cores/12 threads. So if something is heavily multi-threaded, you'll see a difference. Also will age better. The 8600 is 6 cores/6 threads.
