That's weird. I have the 3MP Hikvision DS-2CD1031-I which is almost the same as your LAVIEW ones. It's clear day and night. You may check with LAVIEW tech support. It could be a defective unit.

Hi Vik, As I noted there, yes - this should work. They are both Hikvision OEM products. Worst case you have to properly set IP address info, IP net mask, user/password, and port info.

Hi Mortar Cat6 cable is stronger, typically has thicker wires by a little, a plastic separator which helps give it more strength ( and makes the cable thicker ) - this makes it better for pulling...

You can't use the original cable with the weather seal coupler unless you cut the cable and redo the connector. Hopefully the technician at least used some electric tape to wrap around the network...

My 3mp (ip) Swann gets license plate from about 20-30 feet away if car is parked or slowley moving up. So this set should do much better job

HI CmdrLeet hmmm... if 1337 shouldn't you know this already ? ;') NVRs typically store system settings on on-board memory. So you can swap HDDs out as they are used for video storage....

I’m pretty sure your settings are wrong. I have the same system and they are crystal clear. If you are using the phone app there is an option to make them look clear.

HI Sky ppf = pixels per foot fps => 15 fps works well enough for most situations as we're normally not looking at fast moving subjects.
