Any receiver like these is overkill unless you plan on doing a 5.1.4 or 7.1.4 atmos setup. You could easily run your speakers with a $250 receiver and never know the difference.

Agree. Even though I have overhead ceiling speakers I still tested with Klispsch R14SA. Nope, down firing overhead is the only way for awesome ATMOS.
