I put that cheap 970 in my sons rig, it was a nice upgrade from the 660 he was using. Solid gaming card med settings 1440p@144Hz. Last week was the closest I've seen to that.

Yeah thing is you don't get HDR with 900 series. Wouldn't even bother upgrading my current 780GTX except for the HDR the 1060 or 580 can do. Not to mention the other big reason it HEVC hardware...
