You'll get more bottom end, not necessarily a terrible thing if you prefer exaggerated lows. But if you have a decent receiver with good autoeq, it'll flatten out. Just dont place the speakers...

Loving mine that I purchased around the time they were first released. They sound good enough that I don't feel the need for a subwoofer and have a nice sounding simple 2.0 setup.

The Elacs would make excellent honetheater fronts. Have heard the R15M only on display at FRYs. I imagine it’s not in the same league as the Elac.

Yeah, I read similar comments on AVS Forum and that worries me a bit. I have a Pioneer VSX-1120K, which puts out 120W per channel @8ohm. Do you think that'll be sufficient?

This is one of the best bang for the buck speakers on the market today and a steal at $350/pair. I do own a pair as well as the Elac center channel. The only downsides is that they rated at 4 ohm...

The Emotiva BassX 100 is a well reviewed amp that won’t break the bank. Onkyo 9010 is also a great amp for around 300. At the ~120 mark I whole heartedly recommend the SMSL AD18.
