I'm old as dirt, and back when I was in school we could crack masterlocks blindfolded by the obvious tumbler feel. Masterlocks have always been crap for security.

better to spend a little more money for peace of mind if locking up something potentially valuable. a good pin tumbler lock or a master 2001 combination lock is a better deterrent.

Tumbler locks like this can hold for at least a dozen second and are much better for gym locker than keypad locks that can be opened in a second or two.

I wouldn’t recommended these. I love the idea of the same combination for multiple locks (I’m afraid of forgetting) but they fall apart after a year internally using them a few times a week.

These are pain in the ass to open. You have to rotate nearly 3-4 times in different ways. Best are the ones where the numbers are aligned in a column where you just put your combination
