I'd flash another rom if people say it works. I don't know about AT&T but T-Mobile has serious issues with Sprint firmware - missed calls and delayed messages unless switched to 3g.

I can confirm it works with ATT after flashing the Retail ROM according to instructions in the wiki. You def have to edit the APN, so does unlocking by Sprint enable that?
