While I agree, that's probably a sound strategy, at $5 a box, $10 seems like a steal price to get started with this game. Probably cheaper then getting 1 box then buying boosters. Right?

This starter box is the most bang for your buck when it comes to "price for dice." And you're right, $10 is a steal if you play it. If you don't mind spending "twice" as much, I say get 2 boxes.

You cannot play solo. You can play with more than 2, you would need more of these or other cards to do it with standard decks tho.

It's a fantasy flight game so you'll be severely crippled if you only buy one box. IMO, they are really bad at providing a 'base set' which is unplayable aside from letting you test drive the rules...

There haven’t been official rules for more than two but you could just play it like Magic and play free-for-all. I don’t think the game would play as well as just two players head to head.
