I did. Per the terms and conditions you have to pay online or through app. I made $150 payment through app and got the Amex email saying congratulations your $50 statement credit is on the way...

In the past it worked fine paying personal bills as long as you clicked through the att.com/smallbusiness link to get there

Just confirming that I paid for a personal account with this offer. I basically clicked the link through my AMEX page, but then paid for the bill through the app. Instantly saw the credit appear.
