I bought one last year because it was cheap. The 3 minute cycle time makes it useless for other than break ins. For my automations had to use Samsung and iris motion sensors. Someone could walk into...

Sensing range is pretty good on this one. Much better than the smartthings gen1 Sensor. However the battery life is not great, I have had to replace batteries multiple times in a one year period. I...

Why not just buy a light switch with a sensor? I have a GE one that works with Smart things, but is also set to turn the lights off after 5 mins of inactivity in a play area.

Same here. A pain to setup with Smartthings and currently it only reports the temperature... no motion. Not worth it.

I got tired of replacing giant CR2477 button cells every 6 months in the ST motion sensors. These use ordinary AA and supposedly last several years (partly due to the 3 minute notification...

I was thinking the same thing but as all of my Arlo cameras are outside and this is not waterproof, I wouldn’t be able to use this for that application. You would need a Smartthings hub to allow this...

Device has a debounce period. If you trigger it too many times in a short period - it will shut off for 5 minutes or so. I have 4-5 of these with a smartthings hub and they all work great.

They don't make any mention of Zigbee? Edit: The Amazon answers say it's for hardwired systems only.

Honest question: Can you give me use case example of when you would need it to trigger more than once in 3 minutes? I am new to motion sensors but not to Smartthings.

The new version you are saying ISC-BPR2-W12 is not pet friendly; I cannot believe that Bosch produces a new gen sensor without this feature; it's like going back in time
