Correct. Just increase the time to 4+ minutes. Problem solved. Issue people have is that then, the lights are on a few minutes longer than necessary if the person left the room less then 4 minutes.

It works great so far. I don’t use it to auto on lights but auto off lights when no motion detects in 12 minutes in an area has 2 dogs.

Why not just buy a light switch with a sensor? I have a GE one that works with Smart things, but is also set to turn the lights off after 5 mins of inactivity in a play area.

Device has a debounce period. If you trigger it too many times in a short period - it will shut off for 5 minutes or so. I have 4-5 of these with a smartthings hub and they all work great.
