I just tried it again. Apparently there’s a nitch at the back that you are supposed to align the head to. It works now. Thank you.

Definitely do not need to remove head in order to press button. Been using this for a little over 6mo now and I'm mostly happy with it

Not true. I had the same problem, you just need to reseat the shower head around the wedge. Once you do that, try clicking the button to change it. If it is getting stuck, it’s not seated right. ...

There is no trick, installed it yesterday myself. Simply press the button for different spray modes and you dont need to remove the handheld spray from the shower head to effect different spray...
