IMO, they killed the BB droids by making the sound come from the app instead of the droids.

The BBs were first gen and are basically just re-skinned sphere balls with a magnetic head. The newer toys (R2, mcqueen) have a speaker built in.

This one's changed prices a lot. Right now they're $40 on Amazon. People can check the price at that moment to see if they get lucky or not. The one thing that Amazon seems to have stayed ahead...

I bought 2 off Walmart clearance rack for $15 each. BB-9E. Previously I bought 1 BB-9E from Best Buy at $35. These will go lower. They don't work on carpet.
