Kinda what I thought too, & gives me a good reason to cancel shortly after receiving - their map shows 4G all around my area. Will work great with my RP sim on AT&T though.

Exactly my thoughts. This phone at this price point is the sweet spot for most users. I can't justify $400-$500 (plus $30-$40 more in taxes) for the higher end phones on sale today.

Up to what your needs are. The X4 may be a bit older, but the consensus appears to be that it's the better phone. Also, the 64GB version of the X4 has 4GB of RAM, but that's pushing $100 over the G6....
