You can calculate this quite easily. 1500W / 1000 = 1.5kW x 8hrs = 12kW x 10cents per kWh (or whatever you pay per kWh) = $1.20 for 8 hrs. Or $3.60 for 24hrs. Or 15 cents per hour.

You can get a kerosene torpedo heater. It’ll heat up a garage quick. Not as convenient as you have to refill it but if you’re only out there for a few hours it’s pretty perfect.
