Passive bass with probably a 3 way switch, P, J and 50/50 mixed. Hopefully the switch allows you isolate the J so you can get a true P sound. The J and fixed 50/50 won't be as useful. Then again...

One of these days I'll replace the 3 way switch with a blend pot. This is a killer bass. Short scale makes the fretboard really accessible.

I posted a link on the first page to reviews at Sweetwater. They have different colors though, and they don’t have the $400 pricing. They seem to be $575 normally.
