They are definitely not disposable. I bought 4 of the 8 oz bottle for my baby and he used them for the entire year. They never broke down or got discolored. Great bottles.

We love these bottles in my house. My personal opinion however- skip the 5oz bottle and only purchase the 8oz bottles and the additional slow flow nipples. My daughter outgrew 5oz size by 2 months.
