Kobalt is a Lowe's own brand. It has a 5-year warranty. Just call Kobalt, get an RMA number, go back to the store and have them refund the entire purchase price. I just did the a few months back...

Beware that if you return a purchase made using gift cards, Lowes will only give you in store credit. In store credit, as the name implies, is only good in store. Not even online.
