I think TaxAct uses the SSN to verify if you filed last year.

Yeah, for me, I select Premier at $5 + $5, but when I back out and expand the 2018 return, it shows $17 + $19.

Yup its also not working for me. I am using an old account with past efiles. When I click on My Return Fees I see $5+$5 but when I actually try to pre-pay the price jumps up to $35.

Yep. I had the exact same thing happen to me too. The moment you click on 'Pay now' the product no longer shows up as $5. :eek: Freakin' scam. Gonna just stick with HRB.

Don't try this, it doesn't work. The moment you change the SSN and enter the correct information, they will ask you to pay the full price. If you had any discounts earlier, they will be all gone....
