Freedompop operates differently unfortunately. They require phones on their BYOD plan to be locked to sprint. However some phones from sprint MVNO like boost etc work on freedompop.

The BB portal won't recognize your Kickstart credentials, therefore you can't upgrade nor add new line on the BB portal. To add new line, you have to go to the store.
