it would be too big for a 34 inch16:9 monitor, not for an ultra wide. dont confuse this monitors 3440 x 1440 resolution with a standard monitors 2560 x 1440 resolution. this has extra pixels for that...

since you are not gaming, the AW doesnt matter. you are just getting a higher refresh rate and g sync. neither of those will benefit you. your monitor on the other hand has a slighter higher...
