After Duracell leaks killed my Microsoft mouse and a couple of Maglite flashlights, I wouldn’t use them even if they were free. Haven’t had a so-called junk battery leak, only the crappy Duracell’s.

Bottom-of-the-barrel Chinese junk. If they leak and destroy your device, you are SOL. If Duracell, Energizer, or Rayovac leak and destroy your device, they will repair or replace it.

I’m going out on a fairly strong limb and saying this is an issue with your device or handling. Duracell and energizer are way more expensive, but also way better than most of the off brands.
