These and the 700 series are highly under rated. I bought the 712’s back when it was $650 and enjoyed it immensely. It had an incredibly huge and accurate sound stage, beautiful and non-bloated...

Other than having a wide soundstage and a lightweight/comfortable build, the 7xx really doesnt possess any noteworthy traits. The build quality is really cheap feeling. This should have always been...

The price range used to compete with the 6xx which was unfortunate because the 6xx was considered the better value. This new price range might be more suitable comparatively.

I have k701 and hd650, which are said to be very close to k7xx and k58x. K701, if driven well with a decent amp, has a much wider soundstage and imaging, more pronounced details and fabulous high...

if you do the bass port mod on these, they come alive. I've loved mine from day 1 they have a huge soundstage and can compete with many cans twice the price

If you were to choose 1 headphones only (6xx vs 58x)... Which one would you choose and why? I currently have 598se w/ Fiio E17k if that matters.

These are open back headphones. They do not have any sound isolation. And they're bulky/unfoldable, so not a good option for traveling. Sony 1000xm3 is one of the best pairs for traveling, IMHO.

Agreed. 58x are good for both music and gaming. A great purchase if you’re the kind of person that’s only going to own one or maybe two pairs of premiumish headphones.
