I want to use this monitor at 1440p (2560x1440). Will it look as sharp, even though the native resolution is 4k, or should I look for a native 1440p monitor?

I guess you don't understand how refresh rates work. Firstly, graphics cards don't "do 60hz" because their output is measured in frame rates, not refresh rates. The refresh rate is the number of...

1440p 144Hz over 4K any day of the week, especially at this size... there's really no point to 4K and man >120Hz is absolutely fantastic for games if your GPU can push it. 4K just isn't worth it...

I've only owned IPS monitors so I honestly don't know about TNs, but just reading about the differences make me pick IPS every time. I'm also a gamer but still don't care enough about 4ms and rather...

I actually just bought this LG 27UK600 and it’s also a 4K (ips) though and it’s a world of difference from the Samsung UE590 4K (TN) I use next to it.. I do photo editing in Lightroom and it’s a...

Nice! Been looking for a cheap 4K for a secondary laptop monitor and for gaming consoles. Thank you!

The only thing I hate about PC gaming is that I can't get an affordable 4k monitor that looks nearly as good as my Xbox one x with my 4K HDR tv.

I couldn't help but buy it, lol. Too good of a deal to me. The total came to $250 after tax (and I bought the 2-years of warranty, too many bad experiences). I'm going to use it as a TV with a...

I'm no expert. But my understanding is that TN panels are for gamers: fast response time. I'd assume IPS would be much better for editing: better color, better viewing angles.

Was looking for a cheap 1440p monitor for extra screen space at work, and came across this. Thank OP. I’ll take 4K instead.

That extra 100 seems to be worth it and has a wide color gamut as well. I'm actually ok with it so far but I'm not comparing it to anything else. I'm coming from no TV lol

I must be too used to my IPS panel. I personally didn't like it and returned it. Now I'm sitting with a 32in 4K LG monitor and I much prefer it to that ASUS. It's the LG 32UD59-B and I'm going to use...

4k, there's about 3 cards that can push most current AAA games at 60hz or greater. You're gonna want freesync functioning on this screen if you're using native res, even still unless you have a...

Post #126256789 added 03-21-2019 6:30 AM by sylvester_0 in Deal Talk
Hard pass for PC use. Too small to be useful for 4k (w/o scaling) and TN (terrible colors.) I wouldn't use this if it was given to me for free.
Post #126256801 added 03-21-2019 6:31 AM by illusion27 in Deal Talk
Agreed TN models may have better colour for some models but they are still not very good for office and productivity work. I had to return the Dell 1440p monitor @155 HZ for a IPS Monitor @75 HZ and...

Depends on the pannel. This one has pretty accurate color. TN isnt a big deal if you're looking right at it. Will need minor tweaks with calibration. Excellent buy for the money

you've obviously never played a game at >120Hz... trust me, i didn't believe you could "see the difference" either, but it's night and day how buttery smooth the movement is.

This seems like a fantastic deal for a 4K monitor to me. If I had a PS4 Pro I would by it in a heartbeat. I probably won't get one for another year though and I'd rather get a 1440p 144hz monitor for...
