False..I activated and cancelled within 5-10 minutes after activating. There is no set amount of time that it has to be activated for.

I canceled Fi and abandond the number, I was able to then immediately activate on my current sprint line with the esim. Device swap/activation was all done through the esim setup. Super easy.
