I based my comment on game benchmarks and the 2700x averages 5fps more per game over the 2600x. I doubt streaming would make much of a difference since the 2600x has more threads than games use.

True - but the 2600x is overkill too, The R5 2600 at 65w is best game cpu.. The 2600x is 95w and costs more, and you get around 2-3 fps extra most games. Just not worth the extra heat etc.

I heard 3000 series processors are not much of and improvement aside from being on 7 nm architecture which will save power. IPC side not much gain. I may be wrong.
