Not really comparable, 840 pro is SATA, this is NVME. This would be WAY faster, but you need a compatible motherboard.

Converted the drive to 512e and the drive properly showed up in ESX 6.7 as a drive instead of an unknown memory controller. Previously I had to use hardware passthrough to be able to use it.
