It will run a conventional sump pump easily. This Wen is rated for ~12.5 amps continuous and (for example) a 1HP/750W sump pump pulls about 6.25 amps.

Another difference between the WEN and Costco Yamaha powered is the noise level. Wen is 55DB vs 65DB on the Costco one. Wen will be significantly quieter based on the ratings.
