no, generally you need a Z97 board to have bios updates that recognize an NVMe drive either in an m.2 slot or a PCI-E slot adapter.

Your deal is much better. The Intel 660 is slow for an NVME. I purchased the Inland at Microcenter for $99, and much better Read/Write.
