Thanks! Just ordered one for my mom, to be delivered tomorrow. Says it it is sold from Target, so I wish I could have done in-store pickup, but next-day delivery is the next best thing.

I use it all the time for rice. 1:1 ratio for rice and water. Or you can use chicken stock. There are a lot of YouTube videos out there if you want to get creative

It will get the job done. Best way to cook rice is to steam it, time consuming. Next best thing is to use rice cooker. Wide range from Aroma to Zojirushi.

Good. I just wash the rice and then use 1 to 1 with water. Add a little butter and salt. Then press the rice button. It works for me.

Dear lord why would you put oil in your rice. Just add a 1:1 ratio of water to rice and hit the rice button(white rice) Or you can get creative and use chicken broth. Never had to use oil though.

It's worth it to own as a rice cooker alone. 1/1 rice to water and then whatever else you like. One of my favs is to toss in some old bay and hot sauce, and use it as a base for gumbo.

Yes, if you keep the lid on it. Really, what prevents the rice from hardening is keeping it an air tight container... Both the IP and rice cooker (with the lid on) would do that... HTH
