it seems that sony WH1000XM3 and WF1000XM3 have horrible microphone, same as my 770BN. I recently bought Bose 700 and calls are good. Maybe buy the sony WM1000XM3 just for music.

As a person who purchased over 3 of these, Sony WILL NOT honor warranty if you did not purchase from their authorized retailer and they will do everything they can not to honor it.

I wouldn't trust Sony to cover these, they aren't very lenient on warranty at all. That said, these headphones are really good if you want to drown out noise.

I have the Sony WH1000XM3. Use it regularly while flying. Have also used on teleconference calls too. I think they are great. I previously used wired over the ear Bose noise canceling.

My experience with Sony Warranty was with a x950G TV. They specifically asked for a receipt and place of purchase, so I would err on the side of caution and purchase from an authorized dealer.
