HP but that was what on sale at the time. It does not matter on the brand, buy what you like. I did a fresh install and yes it recognized the key from the motherboard.

Your Lenovo is 15.6". This is 14". They are significantly different in size and weight. Do you have a problem with a smaller screen? If yes, keep your 15.6". If not, get this 14".

If this is the one I saw in the store last week, with the IPS screen, then the screen is awesome, and doesn't fade if you look at it off center, or not at a precise angle like many laptops.
