These speakers came out in 2012. So there's depreciation at play here as well as the fact the Polk legend series just came out and these will be discontinued soon so they have to clear out the stock....

The Marantz is sufficient to handle the full load of speakers. But, I've found that the sound is lacking, more subdued. With an external amp, the front three speakers really come to life.
