Maybe that's why it's $20 cheaper for the newer model, less ports and upgradeability. It's a trade-off I can live with.

the specs on 8th gen say it's a 220 nit screen vs this 10th gen is a 250 nit screen. so this new screen should be brighter at least. but will the new screen be as colorful is the real question

I looked into it and you can upgrade to 16GB ram (2x8GB) but I don't believe you can add a second HDD according to the service manual and this youtube video.
