Polyurethane glue has a very short shelf life after being opened. Once moisture get in, the tube cures. If you got it to last for 3 years you must be in the desert. I've never tried this...

You are correct. Blue barrier by Polly Wall, Prosoco, and Huber Liquid Flash are way better sealing/flashing products. This is just an over hyped silicone caulk.
