Just turn it off. Choose long press for Google Assistant. Once I did that, didn't ever have that problem again

The DAC and headphone amp section alone ( on my V35 ThinQ, same setup here ) is as good as any $300 desktop stack I've heard and the DAC measures as well as some DACs that cost more than the phone...
