Received mine, $100 seems to be steal. No way too big for surf casting. Bail has larger diameter than usual, but the reel itself is right-sized for surf.

I have 2 7000lc's and like them. The build quality is good, not as stout and water resistant as the spinfisher lc's, but much lighter.
