What's everyone's favorite 3d printer for a beginner? I dont need the most basic but there are so many out there and I just want to get one to make kids toys and accessories for now. Thanks!

Overture is awesome filament, I have been using their black for a while now, zero adhesion, clogging, crappy print, etc issues. Best filament so far (I've used at least 10+ brands). The included...

Wait, in the time between our last order, AmazonBasics PLA went away? *turns her head to look* *whiplash* =x Guess I'll have to try Overture, but, dammit. Had everything nicely dialed in for both...

depends on the size of printer you want… A lot of people like ANET A8 (not a great frame, but its cheap and a kit if you like to build stuff). CR-10 for larger metal frame, more expensive. , And...

Does TPU require different temp setting than PLA/ABS? Interesting. Their PLA and ABS are sold under the name Overture now. Perhaps these TPUs are leftover inventory?

It works perfectly well on bowden printers that aren't total garbage. Even works on the cheapo ender 3s. You just need to slow down print speeds to like 15mm/s.

Same. Had a stock Anycubic Chiron and printed beautifully detailed pieces despite being so flexible.

I never claimed it to be a bad filament. It is a Chinese knockoff of Amazon basic filament. It possible they were originally supplying it for Amazon? Someone pointed out the brackets being used in...

It's not a knockoff of Amazon filament. Amazon doesn't manufacture filament. They just put their name on their chosen brand. My understanding is that Overture used to have the contract for Amazon...

From what I understand Overture is a Chinese knockoff. You can tell by the product detail, they use the brackets on most of their products. Yes, TPU runs at a lower temp. Has a lower melting...

Technically slightly different temps but they can all overlap and more importantly it can be a pain on non-direct drive printers. Don't want any gaps anywhere in the feed.

Like a gel cell phone case? I have used flex filament and this is an excellent price if it is similar. However, I really don't need it enough to justify buying 3 reels.

I hate to disagree but it works fine for me on a CR 10 with the flexible filament MOD… Never really have any problem whatsoever… I mean above and beyond having to tune in any particular filament, etc.

Yes, TPU usually requires slightly higher nozzle temps compared to PLA. Print speed, retraction speed, island crossing, and retraction distances will all need to be adjusted as well.
