The ultra, no. The stick+ can though if you power it from a usb port on your tv. That's what I do on our bedroom tv. When we turn that tv off it cuts power to the stick+. Only takes a few seconds...

still no dolby vision on rokus. even though I am not using a 4k tv, I hate to buy a new roku when I'd have to turn right back around and get something else if I get a 4k tv and want dolby vision.

I don't see where he claimed he could stream a 15GB file from USB, but there is a way to split files > 4GB with sequential names and have them play from USB without interruption. I have done that...

There is a 'Bandwidth Saver' option in settings which will stop playback after 4 hours of inaction. It pops up a dialog to click through; if no click, then the channel gets shutdown.

I turn off autoplay (the next episode) by service, for example turn it off for Netflix, then Prime, etc.

Straw - I believe that if you go with the Roku stick that is powered by the TV via USB, it will go to sleep once the tv shuts off. The only caveat is that you'll have to wait for the Roku to boot up...
