Yup, when I bought my 6t they refused to unlock the device on the chat or phone support. Contacted Tmobile by twitter and in 15 minutes everything was resolved.

It depends who responds first to the “deal”. Most aren’t happy with new line requirement I guess. It’s not any worse than BYGO deals to be honest since required to buy and finance just one phone.
