I would say that this is great for emails, word docs, etc. With the split screen software, you can multitask like a champ.

Before (imho) wasting money on an ultrawide monitor like this, please also consider a TCL 4-series 4K TV at 43" size with a VA panel for deep, deep blacks. That size is just exactly like 4x 24"...
