The port is near instantaneous. It used to take days, not anymore. But to answer your question you can not reassign a new number to that line during or after the port.

Older account level plans have a max of 10 phone/tablet/hotspot lines per account (watches don’t count towards line limit). I have the $110 unlimited plan with 10 phones on it.
