Good deal, got the 2 bay TS-251+ for $259 last Black Friday from B&H. Good NAS, but not perfect. All QNAP products have like 100+ features, but only a handful that work well enough to actually use.

id recommend 2 bay and 4 bay qnap intel based cpu nases over the crapdragon / atom cpus. 4 drives isnt a big headache to match.. 8+ matched are.. synology is nice. I own a 12 bay nas and a home built...

Nope. The TS-253be doesn’t come with it included. It can run it, but you have to buy it. It’s confusing because it’s not very clear in the documentation. But only the 951x and up have it included.

Have had the TS-451+ for I think more than 2 years now, no issues whatsoever. Only use a small number of features in a raid-6 setup. Frequent updates, too. Been pretty happy with it.
