I can't speak about the Dewalt stand, however I can say that the Ridgid stand is very well built and that you will not be disappointed ... especially at this price.

If the Hitachi mounts aren't in-line front to back, won't work without mounting the Hitachi to a board (e.g. 1/2" plywood) and attaching the board to the quick release arms.

Ended up using the 4 long ones for the DWS780. This is a pretty solid stand and I'm glad I returned the DWS779 + stand combo earlier this week.

I ended up with 4 extra. It comes with 4 long and 4 short depending on which you need to mount your saw on the brackets. My Kobalt needed the short ones.
