You can sideload android apps, but you need to enable chrome os developer mode.

mine was not shrunk wrapped but had 0 cycles and 104% health. should be able to recover moat of the cost from the keyboards and pens. also I did get refunded for the one that got cancelled.

You install them through the Play Store just like you would on an Android device. The Play Store should already come installed on the Slate. I’m not sure if you can sideload APKs though.

My slate came from Florida too. I compared the shrink wrap with the keyboard and pen. It looks exactly the same, I would be really surprised if it wasn't. Not bad for $300 I still haven't opened it...
