Good idea...i just did some research since i have a dual fuel generator. Gas has a low shelf life like 6 months but propane doesnt. Google shows 30 years for propane!

Yes sorry, per gallon. Cost me less than $10 to fill a 20lb tank.

I think it was Northern Tool that had a 100lb tank on sale for around $100. I can't remember if I was calculating what it would cost with the 20 off 100 coupon or not. I'm tempted to get some...

Many gas stations fill tanks, but it just depends on your area. Cost depends also, but roughly $30.
And if you have a Weber or other gas grill with a fuel gauge, the gauge will be useless. Just a thought.

You can recertify the 30# tanks, find a place local and call to see how much if you're curious. https://portal.phmsa.dot.gov/rinlocator

Sams Club page for both the 20 and 30# says "Pre-purged vacuum ready for filling with LP gas". I got the 20# with gauge and the tank itself came with a tag warning to purge but on another site...

U-Haul generally is a last resort if no other places are open or I'm traveling and can't find somewhere else to refill. With their prices, though, it's still cheaper to refill than exchange.

My local Costco refills for about $9 and change fo a 20bound tank. I’m thinking of building an outdoor kitchen with propane. It’s so cheap at Costco I have no desire to run a gas line to the patio.

I have two of these at different houses. Very satisfied with them, especially at this price and if you can combine them with Ebay coupons. Dual Fuel generator

I prefer to own my own tanks so I can control how much wear and tear the tanks receive. You can easily get tanks refilled at most BJ's wholesale clubs and local big equipment rental stores. I find,...

For $40, you are probably better off just considering this tank is going to have a 10 year life, give or take. After that, just take it to a scrap yard and have it recycled, which is what ends up...

If you purchased brand new tanks that were already expired that is on you. New tanks will have a 10 year reinspect.

When you receive the tank, please verify the 'born on' date. The tanks around here are certified for 7 years from that date, and there isn't really a mechanism for cost-effective recertification for...

1.57/gallon for propane ? I find this not believable. Maybe you are confused with a 20lb tank.

According to the Home Depot webpage, these tanks are pre-purged.

Just cut groupon out and go to the place that groupon is sending you.... I'm sure you would save a few bucks. 20# tanks cost $9.50 here to fill, so Groupon is probably making $3 per sale acting as...

Depends on how much height you have under grill. This is taller than standard 20 lbs tank...about 5" or so.

Most propane dealers will be able to recertify a tank. Not an exchange place but a real supplier. Around here there's airgas for example.
