I tried the Dh790 and it sounds amazing.. I have the answer how you can mess up your speakers - your speakers should have an impedance of 6 to 16 ohms..

If they don't sound right you have some wrong electronics hooked to the good speakers. You make it work harder it's probably going to deteriorate but I am guessing.

So I tested the Sony DH790 and I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but the $500 Bose speakers I connected sound terrible, like cheap computer speakers. My $20 Google Home speaker sounds better.

I replied to someone on the last page with a little comment about ARC. It's rather flakey for the most part and probably wont do everything you want it to do. I guess if you're using your TV's...
