Some can also damage the paint in your car if there is prolonged use. No sense in going super cheap in washer fluid when a gallon is a few dollars.

Pro Tip: Rain-X makes a concentrated version of it's product as an additive. I buy a gallon of the cheap PEAK stuff and add 4 ounces of the additive to the gallon bottle, shake, wait a minute for it...
