Why not zWave thermostats? They have seemed to stop making updates to zwave models, incl Honeywall. These wifi things all take more power, make more heat, and will break sooner bc they all run...

I have this thermostat and use Alexa BUT you CANNOT turn the thermostat on or off. You can adjust temp easily via Alexa.

This thing is powered by 24VAC with very little amperage. Based on that, I would imagine this thermostat uses about 5-10kWh per year....based on $0.10-$0.15 per kWH for a supply and delivery charge...

Does this have a kind a custom programming where say... I want to set the heat for 80F, with a base of 70F. So once it's at 80F, it won't turn back on until it reaches 70F.
