To my knowledge the apps should continue to work without support. Or until your device no longer supports the app. Maybe keep an older device that isn't being used, like a phone you no longer use...

I agree. However you can run 4 cars simultaneously. It is much more fun with more cars. The cars usually $15 each. So 2 for $20 plus the additional parts is a great addition.

I have a starter kit. Was looking to add this but then noticed an entire set is only $37. Wouldn’t it be better for $20 more to double my track if it compatible.

Yes the kits are compatible. If it is the same kit, i am not sure if you can use duplicate cars. If you get the starter kit and the Fast and Furious kit, you could combine them together and use the 4...
