Well, it works fine with Alexa. The limiting factor seems to be Alexa's ASR, not the switches.

This Wi-Fi switch doesn’t connect to the Smartthings hub directly like the Z-Wave ones do. But you can add Kasa in your Smartthings app and control this switch from there.

just remember these require a neutral wire, those in older homes probably won't have a neutral wire to keep the power on for wifi

This is accurate. These work great as smart switches but in my opinion kind of suck as a physical switch. The bounce on the switches is pretty terrible. So many times my light turns on then off...

Solution: Lutron Casetta (the product series without N in it for neutral) Their switch and dimmers work without neutral and also with neutral depending on what you buy

Technically they won't work with Smartthings, they will only work via your WiFi. However you can configure them to be controllable through Smartthings.
